Misty Mountain is centrally situated on the Panorama Route for easy day trips. In the Sabie area, visit the Lone Creek Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Sabie Falls, Mac Mac Falls, Mac Mac Pools and Forest Falls.

 Step back in time and explore the historic town of Pilgrim’s Rest. Experience the splendour of God’s Window, the Pinnacle, Blyde River Canyon and Bourke’s Luck Potholes. And, of course, you are already on the Long Tom Pass – take a slow drive through this magnificent mountain pass and soak up the scenery.

The capital of Mpumalanga, Nelspruit, is only 65 kilometres from Misty Mountain. Nelspruit is one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in South Africa and offers modern shopping and entertainment facilities. Special attractions include the Lowveld National Botanical Garden, the Reptile Park and the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Nearby White River is home to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (70 kilometres from Misty Mountain) and offers some unique country shopping experiences such as Casterbridge Farm and Bagdad Centre.

The Kruger National Park, one of South Africa’s greatest natural treasures, is only 77 kilometres (Phabeni Gate) from Misty Mountain. An easy day trip, the Kruger National Park boasts the Big 5, many other animal and bird species, and a wonderful environment and facilities to experience the bushveld.
